Clarion provides an intimate concert setting on two levels housing one of the best world music instrument collections in the Bay Area. In this concert, celebrating the release of the CDs "Waves" and "10,000 Thunderstorms", the following world musicians will collaborate acoustically on a variety of unusual & evocative instruments:

the huaca (triple chamber clay vessel flute) - alan tower
udu drum, ceramic bass & nyckelharpa - barry hall
scalloped freboard guitar - matthew montfort
grand piano, conundrums (clay tubular drums)- michael smolens
unique agave & ceramic didjeridus - alan tower & barry hall
plus other special guest artists and surprises. . . . . . . . .

Our last concert on Aug 2nd featured four didjeridus played by candlelight at twilight in a stone walking tunnel at the highest point of the Marin Headlands. It was a powerful experience for many partcipants who wrote us afterwards. We hope to share another unique adventure with you on Friday.

Dore Stein, producer/host of the radio program Tangent, KALW 91.7 will host the performance for your enjoyment and deeper appreciation of the music and the unique instruments.

Please pass this on to friends who might resonate with our music & approach.

We look forward to seeing you or meeting you there!
