Conundrums
Listen to an excerpt of "Muffeludu"
This piece showcases the "conundrums," a set of tuned, long, narrow tubular clay drums with goatskin heads. Due to their appearance, they're also sometimes referred to as "muffler pipes," which, when combined with "udu," gave this tune its name. For some reason this piece always makes me hungry for a muffeletta sandwich.
